5 THINGS THAT EXERCISING AND BEING IN LOVE HAVE IN COMMON
5 THINGS
THAT EXERCISING AND BEING IN LOVE HAVE IN COMMON
Butterflies in your stomach, complete happiness, and want to
be together all the time? That must be love. Achievement, Satisfaction, and
Euphoria? That has to be fitness. You might not have seen it earlier, but the
two are closely related!
Enthusiasm, euphoria, palpitations. Being in love changes
our bodies. It is and always has been a part of us - relationships help us
survive. Another thing that is part of human nature is exercise - we made to be
energetic. The embarrassment of benefits that come with it shows that activity
is critical to wellbeing and fitness. But what makes being in love and movement
so similar to both? Here are the facts.
1. It's all up to chemistry
We encounter new people all the time, but sometimes it feels
different. The feeling of meeting someone exceptional cannot be ignored due to
chemistry, or more precisely, dopamine and endorphins - natural happiness
hormones that our bodies produce when we experience overwhelming pleasure.
They can express feelings that can also be released during
and through exercise. It's systematically proven that we issue endorphins when
we exercise - and can get as addicted to it as we are addicted to love. A good
example is the "runner's high" (German: Läuferhoch), which was proven
by imaging procedures with joggers. The moods of joy and addiction are
documented in this article by Very Well Mind - proof that regular exercise can
make you less tired than before training.
2. It sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't
Have you ever been on a day and supposed, "I'm not
exactly sure, but I am attracted to this person, so I'll try again"? Then
meet with the person again and believe that you have fallen in love with that
person. However, on the third date, you realize that the chemistry between you
may not be quite right. And this impression solidifies with every further date.
At some point, you know that the person is not the right one for you.
The same goes for suitability. There are so numerous sports
to choose from, but the initial feeling doesn't have to be permanent. The main
thing is whether it's right for you. You can enjoy a specific form of fitness,
but it can become a strain on your previously injured knee after several weeks.
Fortunately, as a Holmes Place member, you can get free advice from our trainers.
They will help you find the right form of fitness that will bring you a
lifelong love of the sport.
3. Challenges: No relationship has ever been easy and
straightforward
The same goes for fitness. When it comes to love, problems
should be addressed by both partners. It creates a more solid bond between the
two. If you apply the same principle to fitness, it will create an overwhelming
bond between you and your sport, and you will see that this is for you. For
example, if you're into weight training, don't let a lousy workout put you off.
Shake off any feelings of failure and try again next week. What was once hard
will eventually become comfortable.
4. It can be quite painful
The motto "no pain, no gain" is as old as it is
true - not only in the gym but also in love. Sometimes our heart is broken by a
loved one, but this experience makes us stronger in retrospect.
5. Both make you live longer
Did you know that when you see your loved one, your heart
beats three times faster? The blood flow to the heart and other organs increased
with this feeling of love. Being in a relationship reduces loneliness, makes
you happy and helps you live longer. Exercise also extends their lives,
improves blood circulation, improves overall health, and even helps us look
younger.
